Changing batteries on cheap Chinese bar-end blinkies

Hi chaps,

I have a pair of the cheap Deal Extreme bar-end blinkies for road handlebars. The batteries are getting pretty low.

Before I take them apart, has anyone successfully changed the button batteries on them? Any tips or tricks?

From the forth pic,it looks like you just pop the end off. Didn't they come with instructions?
