locking skewer question

I am thinking about replacing my quick release lever with locking skewers, which compnay makes the best skewers, also if I get the skewers, would I still have to lock up the front tire, I use a U-lock for the rear tire and a cable for the front that is attached to the Ulock

Would I have to get a skewer for the rear tire as well even though I use a ulock to lock up the rear tire?

I don't know if they are the "best" but I have sunlight locking skewers. As to their security - well, I haven't had a wheel stolen yet! They come with a proprietary hex key

I mean, that is the theory. YMMV. I don't live or work in what one would consider a very high crime area

I have PinHead locking skewers and I've been very happy with them. I got a matched set for my wife's bike so we only need one key between the two of us. I can order headset and seat post locks as well and all with the same key.

in a high crime area it deters but as the old the saying goes if they really want they will get it. I find it is enough of a deterrent in most of the places I go that I don't worry.

Where I live just a non lever skewer is adequate it has a hex socket in it..

A Novel one is Zefal it's lever wont open with the bike upright.. turn the bike over, lever opens normally..

Pitlock and Atomic22 use unique 1 to a customer fittings instead of a hex wrench.
