Cyclocross and Gravelbiking (Recreational) This has to be the most physically intense sport ever invented. It's high speed bicycle racing on a short off road course or riding the off pavement rides on gravel like : "Unbound Gravel". We also have a dedicated Racing forum for the Cyclocross Hard Core Racers.

Carbon Fork for disk and quick release.

Anyone have a recommendation for a carbon fork that will have the clearance for 38mm tires? It needs to have mounts for disc brakes and standard quick release drop outs. I have Frankensteined an old GT cross bike I use for gravel riding, but the fork I bought from Performance doesn't have the clearance I need. The frame accommodates 38mm tires all around except the area between tire and crown. I've got about 2mm clearance which isn't a problem if the trail isn't muddy, but obviously would like more margin for dirt build-up.

What A-C? What steerer tube size? What rake/offset? Plenty of ~400 A-C carbon forks out there that take up to 42-45mm tires. Whiskey, Carver, Lynskey, Soma, etc.

Bikes: Kona Kahuna DL Drop Bar - Sensah SRX Pro 1x11 (2012 Frame), Giant Toughroad GX 1 - Shimano Road Hydro + SLX 1x10 (2018), Diamondback Sync'r - SRAM NX 1x12 (2020)

What specs are on your current fork? Main things are fork length/rake as well as steerer tube (Straight or tapered).

I picked up a full carbon CX fork from Spot Brands and it's worked out well. They offer it in both straight and tapered versions.

Bikes: too many of all kinds

Carbon forks: Nashbar has a CX fork. I have their 1" threaded road fork and their mountain bike fork. Nothing special, but they work well for your type of build. I expect the CX fork to be similar to the two I have...
