Wanted to do the Red Clay Ramble on the 19th but it is move-in day at GT for my daughter so maybe Scull Shoals on the 26th.

Hey, I know it's off topic, but how did you pull off that nice paste of your iPhone screen, with the email addressses scratched off? I could use that skill, especially if it can be done on the fly...

Very nice. Welcome to the Niner RDO club.
Can you tell us about the build? What bar is that? What gearing are you running? What rotors are those? How much does it weigh?
Did you ride the trail in the last photo? Every time I ride heavily rooted or rocky trails my headset seems to loosen a bit.
Wanna race?

I have had a lot of cool bikes but I sold 7 of them after I got this one. Due to advancing years and injuries from a bad crash even this "relaxed" position causes pain so I have been thinking of selling her. Then I remembered I had a set of moustache bars unused in my parts bin. I just did a trial fit and I think they may work for me. I enjoyed another pair for years on my Rivendell Allrounder. Stay tuned.

LOL! The saddle on my friend's Marrakesh is my old Selle Anatomica that I gave her. She calls it her surf board but she loves it! Thinks it is the most comfy saddle ever. Usually rides with no chamois. She is fairly petite. I personally hated it as the nose on it tended to scramble the eggs....

Nice, I dig your build!
What tires are you running with the Etap? I have etap on my cross bike (just got it) and it clears my 33.33 Clement tire, but anything wider would start hitting the battery on the fd.

There's no downhill. Where does the water go when it rains?
And no trees. That grass can't possibly make enough oxygen for people to live healthy lives.
The whole place is just unnatural.

2017 Jamis Renegade Exploit - "Travel Edition"
I can finally post pictures of my 54cm Exploit... This bike has already traveled a fair bit (together with its 51cm sister, which belongs to my lady), including stops in Australia, NZ, Italy, Switzerland and France. It has therefore gone through several disassembly/assembly sequences. The S&S retrofit was done expertly by Bilenky, who also rearranged the braze-ins so I can run either mechanical or hydraulic disc brakes in a travel-friendly manner. I wanted that option in case I was to find hydraulics a pain to travel with. However, that fear proved misplaced and we have been very happy with the braking performance of the stock brakes. (While I have been carrying a bleed kit on our travels, I have yet to use it.)
Here is the bike in "road mode," armed with Continental's 4000S II 28mm tires mounted with tubes on HED Belgium + rims built around White Industries hubs. The tires measure up to about 31mm on the HED rims, and are fast yet very comfortable. I previously ran Hutchinson Sector 28s tubeless on the HED rims, but gave up on the Sectors after a very unwelcome rear wheel "bead pop out" on a very hot day in northern Italy. I think I will wait until we have more road tubeless choices before I try that again. I should note that my wife's Sectors, mounted on the stock WTB i23 wheels, have given her no issues. I refuse to blame the HED rims and believe the heat -- and my weight? -- may have been more critical factors in the tire's failure; I could see stress signs on the wall near the bead. Perhaps more insultingly, the Sector refused to take a tube after the failure and I had cover the last couple of miles of our ride in a car.
Also pictured: the stock WTB i23 wheels now sport 40mm Maxxis Ramblers, mounted tubeless (they measure closer to 42mm). I have yet to try those past the driveway, but I've been scouting for local gravel...

I should have added that I still want to change that curve on the RD cable. I did not bother doing so when I switched out the 11-32 cassette for an 11-36 with the RoadLink, but it's on my to-do list as I think it could look better...

...some great publicity for them in that story.
