Anyone riding Schwalbe Marathon Duremes?
These are discontinued now but I'm sure there are still a lot of people who have them. I'm wanting to experiment more with riding off-pavement, primarily dirt and gravel roads. I want wide tires for cushion and a little tread to make up for my lack of off-road riding skills. 40mm is roughly my max tire size.
I've considered several tires, including:
Clement MSO
WTB Nano 40
Surly Knard 41
However, I already have a set of 40mm Duremes and I'm currently riding those. Has anyone ridden Duremes and one or more of the tires I listed? How do they compare as far as handling quality? Are Duremes likely to be much better on pavement or much worse off-road? I definately lean more toward the MSO or the Nano rather than the Knard because I'll still be doing a lot of pavement riding, probably even mostly pavement.
