Course Requirements

Are there certain requirements that each race course must meet? A certain number or type of obstacles? A certain distance per lap? Just curious...

Here are the USA Cycling rules on it (starting on p95):

UCI rules are very similar.

A lot of local races violate the 3 meter rule by including single-track. To me that is fine, provided the fields aren't very large and the percentage of single-track isn't huge.
