Realistic range Impulse 2.0 36V 17Ah 612Wh

I am on the lookout for an e-bike with a range on 80 miles+. Went to a bike dealer to inquire about the Impulse 2.0 36V 17 Ah 612 Wh. They said the realistic range was between 25-40 miles (40-70 km) on eco.
I was surprised seeing that the manufacturer has stated a range on 127 miles (205 km). Does anyone here have experience with this motor/range? Do you know of other e-bikes with a realistic range on 80 miles+?

That's about right. Simple RULE OF THUMB estimated range calculation: (36V * 17Ah) / 20 = 30.6 miles (right in the middle of what they stated).

I can tell you from experience that I HAVE squeezed 100 miles out of a Bafang BBS02-B 750W/48V mid-drive using a Luna 21Ah Panasonic-Sanyo GA battery pack pedaling with mid level assist at +/-15mph. I built it for a RELIABLE 50 mile range the way I actually ride ([48V * 21Ah] / 20 = 50.4 miles), which is not the way I squeezed 100 miles out of this setup. Currently I am doing 35-45 mile rides with a 90% charge about every other day without any range anxiety. There are times I ghost pedal at 23-24mph for 5+ miles of that too. (230lb. rider, 50Tx28T belt drive Sturmey-Archer 3spd, has 177% gear ratio with 33% gear spacing, ridden as a 2spd with a granny low on a 27.5x2.25 rear wheel)

When it comes to E-bike range, GO BIG OR PEDAL HOME!
