E bike battery
Help - I am trying to source a new battery and charger for a Viking Street Easy for a disabled man I am working with. I have found a battery which I think is suitable - a Viking 24v 4.4Ah bottle battery but can't source a new charger. Can anyone tell me what I need please and where I can get it from. This gentleman has no internet access so needs to be mail order. Any help would be appreciated.

Should be able to source the charger many places, but try Leeds Electric (their shop has a different name if you put that in your browser). The most important aspect is that the connectors are the same.

Many people get their batteries from Luna. Quality parts with good reputation and prices.

well, 24 is going to be hard to find. Luna won't have it. I had many debates with them to try to get them to do 36v - and they probably woudn't do that if it wasn't for Sondors bikes...
You need to know the battery chemisty, charging voltage and charging current your battery needs. If the battery is more than a couple years old, it might be worth it to get a new battery (but yeah, that isn't cheap).
You may need something like one of these (these are in china, so the price will be double what you see after shipping). I don't know how these specific ones are going to adjust for voltage and current cutoff without overcharging. Best bet would be to find someone local, or at least in the US who can help you.
