crank interchangeable: Bafang vs Bosch?
For crank drive ebikes.
Are the cranks interchangeable? Same as ISIS / 4 taper/ Octalink pattern on bikes?

My BBS02 has square taper too, but I'm using Lekkie arms to overcome the bias in the distance from the crank to chainstay. Over the years I've had both square and ISIS on various bikes, and it's a tossup; I like the ISIS interface better, but the square bearings last (me) longer.

I think he means the square taper became rounded. This happens when the system is cinched inadequately, and hasn't occurred on my wife's bike (which has the original BBS02 cranks) or on my bike(s) before I switched to Lekkie.

Wow. Had not heard of that. Still doesn't explain how the OP had the splines.
I went with Lekkie stuff from the get go, never used the bafang crank arms. Wanted the better gearing. The Lekkie stuff shredded the self extracting feature so not sure how much better that is.

Bafang OEM mid-drives* used to have ISIS cranks. Then they switched. But I have seen people talk about putting aftermarket cranks on them. There are still ISIS cranks being made.
*what do you call a mid drive that is made to be integrated into a frame?
