I am looking for advice on buying a new electric bike. I have ridden a bike made by the Santa Barbara bike company, and did not really like the way the power really kicked in. I rode a Charger bike and liked that you have to pedal...I am also thinking about a Giant Lite, but that's pretty expensive. Any thoughts? Thank you all.

thoughts...buy steel frame cheapy bike, change out the fork to a really nice beginner shock fork,
but a crystalyte kit such as the journey or the new phoenix/roadrunner kit
you pedal to get bike going first then throttle to assist or for completel motor handle
