Rode a Pedego at the bike shop today!
Hey, I'm not looking for an e-bike at all, but while I was shopping at Metropolis Bikes in North Hollywood, CA, I took a test ride on a little electric folding bike called Pedego - here's the listing at Amazon in case you want to read the specs:
https://www.amazon.com/PEDEGO-Umbrell...9751399&sr=8-1
As I say I wasn't looking for an e-bike, but if I were (and had the $$!) I would definitely consider this - seems like it would be really good for commuting.
Was also kinda neat that this bike shop lets you take their bikes out and ride them around the neighborhood! If you're ever in NoHo stop by for a visit!

It's a very nice bike, I like it cause it's compact and seems like they didn't cheap out on the battery (lithium) which is always a plus! Only thing is that You'd have to probably put a bigger chain ring on there because the gearing might be too low and you'll just end up spinning on the flats instead of assisting the motor to go faster and conserve battery power for the distance. Those tiny bikes usually have like probably a 50 gear inch on the highest gear.

Yes, like I said I could see why someone would like it. Don't know enough about ebikes to know what sort of changes should be made but it definitely worked great for me right out of the box (or the shop!).
