Question Garmin Edge 1000 Di2 sensor issues

Hi

New bike and new edge 1000. Specialized Roubaix with Di2 shifters but I cannot get the Edge 1000 sensor to pair with the bike. Garmin say this is a third party issue! Any suggestions on how to fix this glitch?

@Roubaix2, you do have this piece too don't you? Di2 Wireless Connectivity with D-Fly
Without it Di2 cannot connect directly to any ANT+ device.

Im guessing that answered his question. Think that transmitter unit is worth getting? Im not sure I see the value.

There are a few things you can do with the transmitter and a paired Edge or other ANT+ device, BUt the one thing that it does is include gearing data with anything else that your Garmin already collects so you can use those metrics to enhance your training.

Yea I realize it collects gearing metrics, but Im not sure of the value of that info for training. Its also not supported in most software suites yet.

It also lets you micro-adjust shifting without the use of the buttons on Junction 'A'. As far as data goes, there is some value in data collected but unused over data not collected at all. You can always go back and use it when it is better supported at a future date.
