Fitbit Surge and Strava
Fitbit Surge links with Strava. The Surge does GPS. If you have your Fitbit Surge linked up to your Strava account, how does the activity show up in Strava? Does it have the GPS track or is it like a manually entered gym activity? And does it then show up in My Fitness Pal, too?

Add runs and rides to Strava to get Fitbit credit for your active minutes and calories burned, and see how that workout impacts your day. Use Surge or MobileRun to get workout stats like heart rate, GPS maps, distance, pace and more, synced to your Strava account.

Thank you, but that is thin on detail. I was hoping to hear someone's personal experience.

I know this is an older post but does anyone have any updates on the surge and how well the gps works with cycling and strava. My wife can get a discount on fitbits at work and trying to decide if its something that will he my riding.

I have a Blaze and use it to link with my phone through the FitBit app. The app tracks everything, speed, gps, heart rate etc,... (No power meter). Once my ride is done and the information saved in my FitBit app it automatically goes across to Strava. Map and everything. Same goes for the other way around. Although Strava doesn't share the map and other details. Which is very limiting. Also, Strava doesn't recognize my blaze as a heart rate monitor. Hence why I use the FitBit exclusively and Strava as a social network for cycling.
