Running a battery cable from the seat tube to the handlebar - looking for tape ideas
I am looking to run a small power cable from my battery on the seat tube to the front of the handle bar, looking for suggestions for clear tape to hide the wire under the top tube.
Please share any suggestions of a product (maybe 3M) or any other manufacture

"Helicopter Tape" is just about the best clear tape you can purchase for applications that are exposed to be elements for long periods of time. It's amazingly tough stuff.
The significant downside is that it's hella expensive if you need just a couple of feet.

You could use some reflective tape that matches your paint job (or come really close to matching).

I have been using Gorilla Repair Tape. It's plenty strong. I use latex gloves to keep the fingerprints down. I was a little put off by the price of the helicopter tape, that's why I never got any.

It's going to be hard to beat clear repair tape. It looks like clear packing tape but it thick and heavy and is designed to put up with UV/weathering.

Clamp the wire to the frame with zip ties. Put a dab of silicone glue on every few inches. When the glue dries, remove the zip ties. This will leave nothing wrapping around the frame.

I would just note that using zip ties (then cutting off the extra) is usually how it's done. It's very durable and lasts forever.

Cool idea! I have also purchased 3M electrical tape in the color of my bike and just run the tape full length over the wire. That looked fine and has lasted for several years.

I've used wires to when it's temporary to try it out.
