Wahoo Chest Strap Acting up

After having a Garmin Chest strap stop working many times. I switch to a Wahoo one. Worked amazing well, had since last October. However in last few weeks been acting weird.
Getting wrong HRT readings. more less nothing above 100 HRT and i can push 190 at times.
I changed battery twice.
bought new battery from store.
i took good care of strap, rinsing it off every time i used it

I checked both my Garmin 500 and my Forerunner devices. thinking maybe those gave me the wrong reading, but those seem fine

anyone else have similar situation

any recommendation or suggestions on what else to do? thanks

Insert the battery upside down for at least three seconds. That will reset the device.

Also check firmware. This is done through the Wahoo Utility app and so anyone who owns a Wahoo sensor should have the Wahoo Utility app on their phone. Just connect your sensors to your phone once in a while, run the app and it will prompt if new firmware is available.

The app also tests the sensors to make sure they are working correctly.

Could just be the strap. The Garmin strap never worked reliably for me, bought a Polar strap and it was perfect until last month when it started acting like the Garmin strap. Just got a new Polar strap and it's good again. First Polar strap lasted me 15 months 8700 miles.

This is a good point. It might not be the sensor/transmitter but the elastic strap.

I rinse mine after each ride or bring it in the shower with me.
