Best Micro SD Card for GoPro?
I think the media in my GoPro is going bad and need to purchase another one.
Is there a consensus on the best brand/model?

Samsung EVO has never failed me, I have had Sandisk, PQI, and G.Skill all fail at some point or another.

Back when I had a GoPro, I was using Sandisk Extreme I think. I don't think you can go wrong with Samsung EVO though.
SD card was the biggest problem I had with the GoPro. They were at the time insanely picky about their cards. I had about a dozen cards, all of which worked perfectly in every device I had including other cameras with the same data rate, but only 2 of the cards worked at all in the GoPro. Also once they were formatted in the GoPro they were pretty much wrecked to work in anything else. I would have to jump through hoops to get them to work elsewhere after that.
One of the reasons I don't even consider buying GoPro stuff anymore. The other being that they insisted that if I was having any problem with a GoPro, it clearly had to be my fault because there was certainly nothing wrong with their stuff. Must be me and my crappy cards that sucked. Even though I was using their recommended card. They were pretty rude on support, multiple times.

The thread topic is Best Micro SD card for GoPro.
I appreciate the advice on the card but this thread isn't about your displeasure with GoPro.
Start your own thread if that is what you want to discuss.

For me, it's the pricepoint in what is becoming a crowded market. The top-end Hero cameras (like a Hero5 Black) cost as much as an entry DSLR-- so it's a whole lot of money for a relatively niche camera. My Sony was less than $150, and doesn't require special mounts (another complaint about GoPro, in my book.)
To the OP-- Samsung EVO. I've lost track of how many I've bought for myself, friends, family, etc. When anyone comes to abuse my Amazon Prime and order a micro SD, it's the EVO every time.

Samsung EVO. Thanks all.
You are being argumentative.
No, I started the thread to determine the best Micro SD card for GoPro, hence the title.
I never said I'm using GoPro's recommended card. I said "the media in my GoPro is going bad." Those were my exact words. That I am using GoPro's recommended card is something you assumed.
Have at it. The thread is all yours.

Thing is, when you post here, it's a public forum. It's not a tech support line and the person asking the question is not the only one coming here for information. It's archived forever and others who are thinking about buying GoPro devices may come here to read. IMO it's useful to post other information to potential GoPro consumers. This is the nature of a public forum.
If you really just want to know the best card to use in a GoPro, I don't know why you don't just ask GoPro. They have definite recommendations, and they will give you a straight up answer and not talk about any of the shortcomings of the GoPro line.
