I really just want the Karoo to be what they promised it to be.
I agree 100% with this.

Garmin's watches are entirely different (much much better) than their Edges, for the record. I'll probably never but another watch except a Fenix or Forerunner.

So at those rates, that's 7.6 hours, to 10 hours to around 12.5 hours which exceeds their minimum spec of 10 hours.

Sure, it's not "sunshine and rainbows" but guess what, it's not over on the Garmin Edge 1030 forum either. My main point is this - they are making solid progress for which they deserve credit. It's reliable for my use case now and is the only bike computer I'm using since the snow melted.

Part of the appeal of the Karoo was novel visualization of the data. Do they do anything unique and useful with your power?

Not really and they should. I've been beating on them about this and other graphical representation of data. Having slider style presentation of things like power, power zone, cadence, heart rate etc... are not as well done as they should be.

It seems DC Rainmaker was underwhelmed and I haven't found more thorough reviews than his. He appears to favor the new Garmin 530/830. Our club uses Ride with GPS for routes and the Wahoo products have a clear advantage there. I think the ClimbPro feature of the Garmin would be fun.

Had it happen to all 5 of my favorite Connect IQ data fields back while I was on Garmin.
RWGPS just released their own IQ app.
