If you press a data display long enough, it will let you change what is displayed.

edit: struggling with this. i can change what is displayed in the stats screen by pressing and holding a box, but not in the navigation screen. when i google "modify garmin 830 navigation screen" all i get are a bunch of results on how to modify the data screen.
nope, figured it out. you gotta go to activity profiles and then modify for each one. perfect. thanks again.
