Strava GPS satellite sync

Has anyone else been having trouble getting Strava to find the GPS constellation lately? Seems like within the past few weeks it takes the Strava app on my phone a few minutes to finally get GPS from the satellites. Not sure if it's an issue with Strava, GPS, or my aging Samsung S5 phone, but I hate standing around waiting for my app to find the GPS satellites before I ride. And yes, I have shut my phone down & turned it back on, still the same issue.

It's got to be your phone. Strava goes to the phone's operating system to get its location. On my phone, the location settles pretty quickly when (a) its got a clear sky view when I turn on the GPS, and (b) it's not on airplane mode. The network helps locate the phone -- you can turn it to airplane mode (and turn the GPS back on) after the fix is firm.

Whatever glitch it had seems to have fixed itself, because now I can open the app and it syncs GPS in a manner of seconds. But it's probably time for a new phone anyway.
