Wahoo Bolt not giving turn by turn

I created a new route in RWGPS and it downloaded to my Bolt. I went to ride it a month or two ago but I wasn't getting turn by turn directions during the ride. I read somewhere about needing to download the latest maps so I did that and did a quick test ride and it seemed to work. But yesterday I went to do the updated route where I had added a few corrections from the prior ride in RWGPS, but again I did not get turn by turn. It would still scream at me when I went off the route though and give me a signal when I went back on. I got neither the audio signal nor the reminder on screen.

One thing I had to do was to delete some of the maps I had as I didn't have enough space to download the current US map. I never had to do this before. Did it reload the deleted ones and then jam me up again? Do I need to delete ride history? All of my history is in RWGPS anyway. I haven't tried another route so maybe it is the route?

Any ideas?

Is the function enabled on your device? Maybe it got turned off somehow. Perhaps you downloaded a map type that doesn't include cues. Though I think the computer generates them on it's own. But not if the function is disabled.

I seldom use routes though. I've probably got some or much of this wrong.

So far I've done a factory reset to clear history, deleted all maps and now reloading all US maps. It'll take a while to load them all. Then I'll do a quick ride to see if it works.

It worked with the test ride that I input but then didn't on the ride that I actually did a few days ago. It must be the route then. I've rebuilt the route and I'll see if the new one works. In any case I've cleaned up my Bolt to free up memory so maps auto download again.
