I just got a cheap bell computer for 10 bucks and it has all the features that I need. One thing that I can't figure out is how to set up a proper wheel size. I have 700x32 tires and there are 4 digits that should somehow correspond to my wheel size.

Here is the quote from the manual:

"the wheel value the distance in millimeters per one revolution of wheel"

I am guessing the last one represents the closest to my tire and the last 2 digits go to 29 and then it resets at 20. The third digit resets after 9 as well as second and the first one resets after 4.

It might be straight forward but I am not really getting it.The manual doesn't really cut it for me. I have ridden at 2129 and it seems somewhat accurate but I just don't know what those numbers represent. If anyone could point me in the right direction, I'd buy an imaginary best beer ever or maybe a couple. thanks

Look on the tire.
Some of them have the computer setting on the side wall.

2155 is what my Manuel says.

There is nothing on the tire except 32 x 622, the size (700x32c), and PSI info.

In my manual there is not much except what I have specified in the original post and what to do with buttons to alter and memorize the numbers and a direction to the table. I just wish I knew what those numbers represent.

Wow, that was my first instinct, the size of the whole tire as if it were stretched from one end to the other or the diameter. Then I had to go on my thinking trip which made me think that those 2 sets of numbers were separate entities. Thank you so much 10 wheels, I just measured the wheel and it is that simple.

How many revolutions would that be?

382,133.271570954 if I'm not mistaken.

I multiplied how many millimeters are in one mile by 500.3 and then divided it by 2107.

382,133 revolutions.

Yessssss. My IQ has just bounced back from an uncanny fumble.

How does the bell wireless work for you. I put one on my lightening recumbant, 16" front tire. i calibrated it by measuring distance traveled on tire as they didnt give anything in the directions, It sill didnt give a correct reading,, it took me about a month of daily riding to calibrate it correctly. Soon after that the battery went dead, i put in a new battery and it helped,, but seems bell built in a govenor on that thing,, above 10mph it just goes berserk,, down to 0 and then bounces all around,, untill i get below 10mph again.. Oh well,, guess u get what you pay for,, a lesson learned for me..
