As nice as the dinotte is, are any of you guys aware of the superb red LED torch from DX ?
Weatherproof, easily mountable, runs on inexpensive 18650 cells, puts out an incredible amount of light and has good runtime.
It's certainly worth a look.

With a 2500 cell, you should get a little over 3 hours on steady. The biggest detriment to it is that it comes with a single-mode driver instead of one with multiples. I imagine it's not too hard to switch it out for a multimode driver, but it's beyond my expertise. If you switched it out, you could expect 12 or more hours on a 3/sec strobe. I'm hoping they release a 5-or 8-mode version soon.
