responded via PM - but I'll put the same here...

CC, where did you find the smart SF for that price ?

Originally here

but looking again, and I think this what caused my original confusion, that is just the 1/2w rear (LAM317R) that looks identical to the SF (SM317R), but isn't. (although the add claims Superflash ?)

That said, the best price on a SF or a B-spoke is £6.99+£1.99 for a B-spoke and an actual SF @ £7.95+1.99.

Now the front light.

The 1/2w front is a basic flash, but the new 1w is very close to SF, just without the extra pair of low power leds. The cheapest is here at £24.95+1.99, but this guy is offering the front for £24.99+£2.50 (incidentally he has the 1w paired with a mini rear light for £24.99+£2.49 !?!) and the Bspoke rear for £9.99+£1.99 - but said if I buy both, the postage would be £1.99 for the lot.

Now sets...

The only actual sets available are including the 1/2w non SF front light. The cheapest of these is £17.49+£2.00
Now, just to clear a couple something up.

I beleive there are at least TWO SF rear lights on sale in the UK

I think there are two iterations of the Smart Superflash (SM317R and LAM317R), one of which flashes out of sync, but not strobe like. - It would appear that this is the light I referred to here...

The other is the new Bspoke 1/2w Rear, where the 2 low power LED's are either side of the SF.

Is the SM317R the one with SUPERFLASH and SMART printed on the red lens ?

Or is that the LAM317R ?

I'm diggin' the b-spoke 1/2 watt rear...and wondering if there is any way to adapt it to my Planet Bike 3H helmet mount...that would be sweet.

Good question, I have googled both. so for the SM only comes up with a printed lens, but I have seen the LAM with and without.

Also, can ANY Superflash owners post vids? (especially if they know which model they have)

Sorry. 404 Page Not Found

I'm sorry, but the post or page you're looking for could not be found. It could be because of our recent re-design. Here are a couple of options that might help you

As much as I appreciate the link, my Bell Citi has an adjuster that is over a quarter inch thick (about 1cm) and unlike the higher spec Bell Metro, there is no loop to attach a light to

Hell I'd still buy one and a rack mount and attach it to my rack...I just think it's better looking than the PB Superflash (not that I'd give that up either).

Back to the hemet mount.

I googled the PB3H, and from what I can see (correct me if I am wrong) there are a couple of recesses, one in each end, from which it is suspended and a weight at the bottom.

Soooooo......

I got thinking.

I don't know about width, but if this is wide enough, without being too wide, fit a couple of 90deg angle joiners to it can suspend, and wrap a bit of lead or something round the bottom.

Maybe you can come up with a better idea, but it is a thought

You've got the basics of it. the weight is actually the battery, it swings on a pair of knobs that stick through some holes in the side...

As highly unlikely as it sounds, I was just hoping that the width would be the same for both, so all I had to do was drill some holes and snap it into place...like I could get that lucky...anything harder than that, and I'd just go ahead and fabricate a whole new mount.

the only problem I see with drilling holes is water resistance. Also the Bspoke seems to be more rounded. With two batteries, it is likely to be pretty balanced, necessitating an extra weight at the bottom to prevent it laying on its back.

Yup, that is the Smart offering. Good find.

However All Terrain Cycles have it for £11.70, and the B-spoke for £12.67.

Still not as cheap as eBay though.

I use the Planet SF and the Smart SF.
The PB SF has a different Strobe pattern then the S SF.
The Smart SF is Brighter.

I bought mine from Wiggle for $10.62 each. They No Longer carry them.

I think this may just be the difference in models, as we have discussed earlier in this thread, there appear to be TWO Smart Superflashes on sale in the UK, one with the SuperFlash similar to that of the Bspoke, and one with a much slower flash of the nichia, but still out of sync with the other 2 LED's.

When I get time, I will try an locate one of each in the LBS's and post them so tyou know what I mean.

The one with the Slower flash would be like the Planet Bike Super Flash
