Cateye: Outstanding Customer Service Experience

I'd like to share a great little story I had with Cateye because I think it's deserved.

I have one of their "Enduro 8" computers. I recently lost just the computer component. Their online store sells what looks to be all of the small parts (Which is nice), but not the computer. I know most people would probably just buy another computer, but I don't like having excess stuff, so I emailed their customer service. I was told that they don't formally sell just the computer, but that they would be able to dig up a refurbished unit, and asked for my address. I had every intention of paying for it, but they shipped it to me for free, and didn't even give me an opportunity to pay. Not only that, my emails were answered immediately (I'm talking next business day), the final one even thanking me for being patient even though my query was satisfied as fast as it possibly could have been. The package was shipped immediately too. I got it yesterday, and the part looks to be brand new, save for some nicks on the battery cover, which is fine. I've already tested it.

That's the kind of service that brings repeat customers. +1 to Cateye.

I had a great experience with them also. The bracket that holds on the cadence/speed sensor broke. I asked them to send me a new mount. They sent me a new sensor unit free.

I haven't had cause to contact them, but the fact that all the small parts are available puts them ahead of many other companies. I could have bought another light for my second bike, but I just bought another bracket. Should that light need replacing, I'll probably buy another Cateye - I already have the mounts!
