I too have bought lots of stuff from them, and while I've had a few issues, they've resolved all of them to my satisfaction. Lots of people on BF have reported similar results.
Their customer service is far from stellar. And stuff takes a long time to arrive (though it's gotten faster in the last few months, average seems to be 2-3 weeks now). Much of what they sell is crap (but some stuff is really good, especially for the price.) But I've never felt that they were cheating me, or that other people who said they were happy with them were shills.

I think advice for shopping there is :
- don't ask for refunds , buy and commit or prepare for wait on refund
- read all comments and reviews well, it seems if people have issues they are good about posting it, likewise with good experiences
- dont expect quickness around christmas
- be realistic given profit margins on certain products, as others have said customer service on something where $0.50 of profit is made may not happen to standards that typically would incur €10 shipping minimum or minimum orders much higher.
I´ve been incredibly satisfied with my purchases, steered through expectations as filtered above, there. I hope they´re in equilibrium and can survive because there are certain things they sell that dont have good other sources at 2x or 3x the price, especially in europe where many things are very expensive and taxed heavily.

I dont feel like searching for their reviews again, but 90% follow the same suspiciously identical format and vocabulary.
I also never got my refund from them until just a couple days ago through a Paypal dispute, and then escalated to a claim. This was from a purchase i made about a month and a half ago. All the time, they never replied to my emails or even Paypal's attempted contacts. Admittedly, i shouldve known better and was naive in trusted the "customer service" of a typical Hong Kong business.

I think most DX reviews are written by actual customers.
However, I submitted negative reviews of two different sku flashlights once, and neither review was ever posted. In an earlier case, I submitted a positive review for a flashlight and it was posted within hours.
I suspect DX simply takes the reviews favorable to their business, and deletes the rest.
I ordered from them only twice. In the first order, all the items I ordered were received in 2-3 weeks and worked fine.
In the second order, they sent me a $50 flashlight that was defective. I complained through their system, sent the flashlight to the Miami return "drop box", and some time later received a replacement flashlight. The replacement was not the exact same flashlight, but a close replica, and it was defective too. I gave up at this point, which I believe is DX's goal - to sell you culled second-quality product, at discounted prices, and if you complain they then wear you down with months of delays and pointless, inane communication. I haven't bought anything from them since.
To their credit, the cheap 18650 and 16340 cells and chargers which I purchased are still going strong, some after a minimum of 200 recharge cycles. So, I think it's safe to buy these from DX, but I'd be leery of anything more complicated or expensive.
If you google it (to which the previous poster alluded), you'll find review sites which rank DX with amazingly high seller ratings, right up there with Newegg, whose prices and service are exemplary. This doesn't jibe well with the average user's purchase experience.
