PBSF Turbo problems?
just wondering if anyone has had any problems with a PBSF TURBO turning itself off, or if it's just me?

i thought this was a problem that was fixed during early production of the original PBSF. maybe i'm just lucky

No, but I don't normally hit it against my hand. Just kidding.
I've never noticed it turning off. Just to be certain I removed it from the bike and hit it against my hand like you did. It never switched off.
Looks like you might have a defective unit.

Yes! I have. But I think it was because I had it zip tied to the reflector bracket on my rack, and perhaps it was too rattly and insecure there. When I clip it to my belt or bag or whatever then it's fine. This only started happening after I dropped it once when changing the battery.....

i've got PB/PDW brackets on my rear rack, and under the saddle with a slightly modified water-bottle holder. both give a pretty stiff ride to whatever lights are mounted there, but i suspect the rear rack would be stiffer. both times i had a real-world turbo failure they where on the saddle mount. i've never had this type of failure with a PDW light.
mounted on something softer (jacket, pannier, etc) i suspect this wouldn't be a problem, but then aiming the light properly is pretty much impossible.

My PBSF Turbo turns itself off too. Schmucker mentions the same experience in this thread. Cause: unknown.

Its a design flaw in the electronics. When the power supply is interrupted momentarily the light stays off. Other lights I've seen don't do this, they start up again right away.
PS I've ridden 1000s of miles without my PBSFs turning themselves off.
