Waterproof iPhone Bike Mount
I know its a bit late...but my father is interested in a waterproof iPhone bike mount for fathers day. I've looked around and found a good model by Wahoo Fitness but was just wondering if any one had any other suggestions. Thanks.

In my experience, if you're riding more than a couple of hours and using the phone as a cyclometer and/or for nav, you'll need an aux battery. I looked at this a while ago and between the apps/case/battery/sensors(HR,cadence,wheel)/data-connectivity, I decided on a Garmin Edge instead.

I have a Garmin Edge, but I'm selling it (or throwing it in a drawer) and opting for the Wahoo package below. I'm selling my old iPhone to get it lol.

Several reasons I decided to do this: I carry my phone with me anyway, I like the idea of being able to save my rides automagically online, and with this package it's everything I need (add $15 for separate bike mount). I'll end up with a full featured Cycle Computer (iPhone in waterproof case with Wahoo or any other compatible fitness app of choice) with Speed, Cadence, Heart Rate, GPS with maps, and of course music! (I use a Jawbone Era headset for music in right ear only). You can also add power but that doesn't interest me at this point.
The one above includes an external battery which will get me through most all rides at 6+ hours. I'm not sure about a long century but you can always add another external battery and opt for a higher capacity external battery.
I'll try and report back with a full review.

I have the Wahoo fitness case. It's ok. The mount is a little finicky and can rattle if you are not careful to keep it clear of the ends of the stem. Other than that, it works ok. This is the case with the ANT+ support in it.
From the iPhone 4S on, they support the new Bluetooth standard (4.0?) that works with low power sensors. Wahoo Fitness just released a bluetooth cadence/speed sensor. That would be the way to go.
I would like to see Wahoo incorporate a barometric sensor in their case like Garmin does in their bike GPS to help deal with the altitude issue on the iPhone. THe sensor can be use to smooth out the fairly erratic altitude on the phones for altitude (and hence grade etc...).
