Bontrager Node 1 (not 1.1): temperature on display?
Does the original Bontrager Node 1 have a temperature display?
I don't think the the newer model 1.1 has it, and I know both the 2 and 2.1 do have it, so I am asking about the earlier Node 1.
Thanks.

As near as I can figure it out. The circuit board has a temperature sensitive resistor on it that functions as the temperature measuring portion of the electronics. Inside the unit. If you are in the sun the clear plastic cover over the display gives a greenhouse effect. Temperatures indicated are way above actual. Her TREK Incite computers (2 of them) never came close to giving the actual air temperature. Close only when the bike is in the shade or we are riding under a thick tree canopy.

Yes. The Original Node 1 has a Temp display in the upper right of the main window. Its accuracy does seem to be a bit questionable (on the high side), especially after long stretches in direct sunlight.

That's the actual accurate temperature inside the unit. Of course it will be higher inside when it's in direct sunlight. Can you cite any devices that somehow magically correct for this? The only this I can think of is to have the temperature sensor under the seat to keep it out of the sun...My Incite is dead accurate if kept out of strong sunlight, or at night.
