Lightbulb Free iphone location app

hi all,

i've been working on a location tracking app similar to instamapper that once existed. It's called mapper and is free in the apple app store.

https://itunes.apple.com/gb/app/mapper/id649524893?mt=8

Currently it's set to update location every 25 metres (when in background) but will be adding in future version to make this an user setting instead.

Any feedback would be great.

Thanks

I don't have a smart phone yet, but there is one in my not too distant future. probably an iPhone cuz my kids have them. can you explain why an app like this would be related to iTunes?

Not an iProduct of any kind user, but I believe that iTunes is no longer just a media manager/store. More like what Google did by combining all of their 'products' under the Google Play Store umbrella.

Interesting and I will give it a try. (But not for another two weeks.)

How does this differ from Glympse?

With Glympse you can join any group (if available), with mapper you must know the group code.

Any feedback would be great.

Regards

my son tells me that with his iPhone he can use google maps to set a course and track our position live. it shows a dot moving along the track. even though this doesn't provide turn by turn direction it would show me where I was on my route and visually show me which direction to go.

Just Found "Google My Tracks" integrated with navigation, maps and earth. Simple clean low overhead. I like it.
