Problem with Garmin Edge 800

I have a problem with my Garmin edge 800. I went to download additional Illinois maps for the device and when I installed them, the city navigator, north american map set dissappeared. Is it gone for good or is it hidden somewhere in the device? I can't find the maps. I'm just wondering if the other maps our in the device somewhere.

Joe.

Under Settings > Map > Map Information Select Map, you can choose which maps are enabled. The other map should still be there unless you overwrote the file. Most maps I've seen online have the exact same file name gmapsupp.img, so I give my downloaded maps different file names. I believe the name should be kept short and have no spaces.

I think I overwrote the map because I don't see the maps in the map area.

You can look at the \Garmin folder with the device attached to you PC. The file name for each file have to be unique (if you have two maps installed, you will see two "*.IMG" files.

You may have overwritten the other map.
