Hi All,
This is my third forum, coupled with much Googling. Can anybody here tell me if I've even come close to mounting this light correctly? I first tried it on the dropout, but that didn't work out. This is the only other option I can figure out, other than modifying the bracket to mount on the brake bolt.

a more common mount is using the Center Bolt holding the Brake onto the Fork..
To mount, it is sandwiched between the brake and the fork bends over the brake , and sits directly over the tire.
some examples : Busch & Müller: Scheinwerferhalter

Thanks. I agree that position would be preferable, but this bracket, as it stands, does not allow for mounting in that position.

The way the arm seems to be attached makes me think of a light mount I have on one of my bikes (not this exact bike, but a similar mount). They're fairly common in city bikes around here:

seeds, I think it will work that way. I once mounted my headlight that way. It was fine.
