Garmin and Bike Paths?

I have noticed that when using my Garmin 800 that it does not show bike paths. These are not new paths but have been around for quite sometime. Am I missing something?

What is shown on the Garmin is a function of what's on the map that you have installed. If the map has the trail and it is categorized properly, it will show up on the Garmin. What map do you have installed?

Try OpenStreetMap. I like Openfietsmap Lite it is an OSM map rendered for bikes so bikes paths are shown in a way that's easy to see. With OSM bike paths are routeable but I've never seen a Garmin map with routeable bike paths.

+1 for OSM. I have both South Korea and New Zealand from there and they are detailed down to searchable addresses and points of interest. Sometimes you find a a few roads they have missed but not often.
