Sevilla to Barcelone - which route?

Hi everyone,

My girlfriend and I are landing in Sevilla in 2 weeks' time, planning to cycle up to Barcelona (in about 28 days) with our road bikes.

We are currently planning the route, which currently takes us through Sevilla, Antequera, Granda, Cartagena and then up the coast to Barcelona (Alicante, Valencia, Sitges, Barca). I've heard it is very built up / developed and busy along that coastal route, and may not be very pleasant riding...

What would you guys suggest? Taking a different route? We are open to suggestions - essentially we want to do a 4-week bike trip, in summer weather, through lovely parts of Spain.

If you consider our route to be decent, any recommendations about nice places to stay on the way would be much appreciated.

Thanks all!
Alex
