Picked up a new one.

I picked up a new Trek Marlin 7 last week. I have a hybrid and a road bike as well. The Marlin is a hoot! I've been watching youtube videos on basic skills. I've been out on it twice. After the first ride I watched more videos and the second ride was more fun than the first. Came home muddy, with a big grin on my mug!

Welcome to the 'old farts on mountain bikes' club. Hope you continue to have a blast with your new toy! It's nice to have a few different styles of bikes to choose from. Off on my touring bike this week.

Mountain Mitch has that right. I really like having a comfortable road bike, a project bike, a utilitarian road bike, a fast road bike, and a mountain bike.

My dad picked up a Marlin from a storage unit auction for 50 bucks when my son was younger. He rode it until he started driving. Basically abused it, never put it in the garage out of the rain, typical kid stuff. I took it over later and cleaned up and gave it a good tuning and enjoyed it for a couple of years until he took it to college. Great little bike.
