Coreg

Has anyone experienced any side effects of Coreg? I've been on it for about a year and have noticed some symptoms that I've never had before. My ND thinks it's the Coreg. She suggested I see my PCP which I'm going to do. But, I wondered if anyone here has had issues with this med.

Well there are other medications more suitable to an active life style.
I also suggest seeing your PCP.

coreg is a beta blocker, which means for cyclists, there can be a lower upper limit on your heart rate while on coreg,
sort of like a governor for the accelerator that functions in exercise. So your exercise tolerance will be reduced
a bit by coreg. How much depends on the reason it was prescribed initially and whether you have had some
decrement in electrical or mechanical function since. Dose also important, doses in the 12-25mg range more
limiting than 3-6mg range. IOW, see the MD who started it. There are other meds around that could be subbed
if this is for high BP.
