60 miles

My second week on my new bike I set a goal of 60 miles for the week.
I did it, now for you seasoned vets that do 60 miles at one time that may not be to impressive but I have a job so I can't carve out the hours for rides like that just yet plus I live in another state and go home on weekends several times a month. But excuses aside I have done 2- 16 mile rides and right now I'd say that is my happy limit, yes I could do more but it would not be fun.

This week my goal is to start commuting to work 6 miles one way starting on Tuesday, have to drop off a few things at work just in case I get soaked or something like that.

As I am learning commuting to work is a different game than fun weekend rides. I have to get there preferably on time no dilly dallying around. Doesn't mean it want be fun most of the time but it is a chore that must get done in a timely manner, no excuses.

But it's gonna happen this week!

I would bet right now if you have time you could do a thirty mile ride. That would get you a boost and riding a hundred per week. Give it a try if you have the time. Have and enjoy.

Every ride counts. Even the two mile round trip to and from the grocery store energizes me.

Commuting is a real game-changer. Once you are in the habit of riding twice a day no matter what, you soon find that you have no limits, or that they are much farther out than you once thought they were. Good luck and enjoy it all.
