When and Where are you riding?
I used to get in 200+ miles per week - mostly at 6 am on SART or in the hills around Yorba Linda. But with 3 kids under 10, a commute of an hour each way and all the other stuff that needs to get done, my TDF training is falling off to 2 or 3 rides a week and maybe 100 miles total... My schedule is currently 2 short rides (17 to 30 miles) with some hills at 6 am on weekdays and 40 to 50 on mostly flat Sat or Sun.
I managed to get one century in this summer, but I am wondering if I'll ever make it to another one (i don't even want to race, just ride to keep the waist size down) at this rate!
Just curious how much seat time others are getting and when and where you are putting the miles in (especially if you are in North OC and have kids etc).

I ride about 100-120 miles a week.
I drive my bike to work twice a week and ride back to work the next morning. Can't be without a car at work,,, That's 4 x 15 miles. On my way home Tuesday and Thursday I'm able to catch up to a ride that starts in Rancho Cucamonga and rides pretty close to home to gets me home quicker. On Sunday I'll go for a climbing ride or to the SART. 40-80 miles. 2 kids/wife

I ride about 200+ miles a week. Usually about 30-40 miles a day, Monday to Thursday. Friday I take off the bike other than the ride to work. Which I do Mon-Fri, 8 miles round trip. Sat & Sun I usually do 50+ each day. No kids but have two dogs that I have to take out for walks and what not.
Not specifically training, but just enjoy riding my bikes!

I've been riding consistently for 15 years now. Never more than a week off the bike. Gina has been riding for 12 years. Never more than 2 weeks off the bike. I do anywhere from 4500 miles to 7300 miles per year. Gina does 2500-3500 per year. I've done 35 centuries and Gina has done 4 on our tandem. Her longest ride on a single bike is 84 so my only concern of doing a century is to get Gina one on her single.
We just about always ride both days of the weekend. Currently anywhere from 42-60 on Saturday and the same on Sunday on the trail (SART). Sometimes we will do our Saturday ride on GMR when Gina agrees. Sometimes Devore area.
I ride different schedules depending on work. I've worked nights for a few years so I ride the weekends and once or twice during the week during the morning. If I work day hours, I ride in the evening. More than likely MTB off road to avoid traffic. Sometimes during the summer, I will do repeats on the upper section of Euclid Ave with lights to avoid traffic.

SART

Devore/Glen Helen

Cajon Pass

Raging Waters/Bonelli Park

Mtn to Sea/ Back Bay

MTB Marshall Cyn/Potato Mtn/ Claremont Hills area

Sometimes Oak Glen/ Big Bear/ Angelus Oaks/ Forest Falls area

I do 80-120 "miles" a week, often times 40-50 of those are on a trainer doing a set workout at midnight (no 'junk' miles on the trainer). The rest of the miles are on the SART and sometimes I'll hit up Santiago canyon, back bay, or yorba linda hills. I do a self supported century about once a month, as the wife can handle things while I go play for 6 hours on a weekend.
I do 6 weeks of the Time Crunched Cyclist plan every 3 months or so (6 weeks on, 6 weeks off) and that helps build my fitness without having tons of time to live on a bicycle. The book gives a very clear prescription for the workouts, no guesswork involved assuming you have a powermeter.

There is always the climb to the ski lifts to add another hour or so if you can't get enough enjoyment out of the GMR ride.

Since the birth of my first child a year ago (and the "high risk" weeks in the hospital leading up to it) I have had sporadic rides at best. But now I have him in the trailer and am going to try going car free (ok, my car kicking the bucket may have something to do with that decision). That means I should get 14 miles in every day towing the kid to Grandma's and then riding to work and back. Saturdays will be the time to have fun and ride 30, 40, 50 miles... hopefully more as I continue to rebuild my fitness. Nothing wrong with that, and commuting will help keep you in shape. It's not the fun part of riding, but it will keep you in shape for the real rides.

I have a busy life, but lunch time is my own. That's when I go on one of my 10-12 mile rides on the streets around my place near Beach & Lampson in Stanton. I do that three or four times a week, and my wife and I ride our tandem in the same area a couple of nights each week.
Once in a while I get to try something different. For example, a couple of months ago I was able to ride 20 miles on SGRT in one hour. We also ride the tandem on a nice Huntington Beach route or along Santiago Canyon once in a while.

I live in the Antelope Valley, north LA county, which is suprisingly hilly. I commute to work, about 100 mikes a week, plus one or two long rides on the weekend or a brevet or DC event. I tried the SART for the first time a couple of weekends ago as part of a 200k brevet. That was very different from what I am used to.
This weekend I am riding from home in Palmdale, down the Angeles Forest, Angeles Crest to the Rose Bowl to meet up with the Velo Retro guys for their ride from the Rose Bowl. Then I will ride home AC/AF. Should be fun.

I ride about 140-150 a week.
Usually two 20+ solo rides during the week, a good metric century with my buddy on Saturday, and a 40+ miler with another friend on Sunday. Sometimes I get lazy when I feel guilty about leaving the pooch alone on the weekdays.
Edit: typically in North County San Diego, or if I feel like hills, I go to East county.

Hmm... Having written this down, it looks pretty consuming. Don't tell the wife, okay?
Usually about 250+ miles over 5-6 rides/week (when life doesn't get in the way).
I live in the San Fernando Valley & work downtown. I ride anywhere between there and Camarillo & Pasadena.
I have 1 wife, 5 kids (2 in jr. college, pay their own way!).
If everything works out, I have two general schedules (school teacher, off work July & August, natch). When not commuting, except for Thursdays, I get my riding done in the mornings, and am done before noon.
Summer:
Mon - 50 miles, hilly club ride
Tue - off
Wed - 65 miles club ride (20 hard, 45 easy/solo)
Thu - 35 miles intense, fast-paced group training ride
Fri - 15 miles easy, short solo ride
Sat - 100 miles (50 fast paced group training ride, 50 solo)
Sun - 35 miles easy club ride or race
------------
~300 miles
Rest of the Year:
Mon - 40 mile rest/recovery commute to/from work
Tue - off
Wed - 40 mile commute to/from work
Thu - 35 miles intense, fast-paced group training ride
Fri - 40 mile rest/recovery commute to/from work
Sat - 65-100 miles (50 fast paced group training ride, rest solo)
Sun - 35 miles easy club ride or race
------------
~260+ miles

Right now I'm riding about 70 miles/week (for the past two months). But earlier in the year I was riding minimum 150mil/week. In June I had almost 800 milies.
I live in Irvine and commute to Costa Mesa via Newport Coast (or Back Bay) to PCH, then SART - 17miles. My return commute is via Main St (through Irvine) - 8 miles.
When not commuting, I ride with the OC Rebels on occasion. Those rides are mostly South Orange county routes. When I want a long (75+ mi), I'll loop through Santiago Canyon, climb Silverado, head back to the coast and turn towards home via Newport Coast. If I want a fast group, I hook onto morning Coffee Crew (in Irvine) or Sunday Como St.(Tustin) rides.

You should go do GMR. To the village and back takes about 3 1/2 hours. That time is more enjoyable than the 6 hours it takes to do a century in the area you mention.
There is always the climb to the ski lifts to add another hour or so if you can't get enough enjoyment out of the GMR ride.

Sounds like fun to me. Maybe I will do that this fall..

That's too tough for me, I'll stick to SART!

I'm planning my Baldy/GMR century right now actually. I may keep it simple and do GMR->village x 2 + east fork x 1. I'm sure I can do 100mi/10,000ft, I'm just not sure I want to yet. At some point I'm sure the miles become junk miles and I'll just be limping along to the finish.
Probably try to get some 60mi/8000ft rides up there first, maybe this weekend.
