That's what I was thinking. I didn't know the OP (before my time) but looking back through his posts it seems okay. Couldn't find any of the famous posts that got him in the sin bin.

That's almost certainly because the mods deleted them. Happens with regularity with posts that are offensive enough to earn you infractions. It's also possible for people to get in flame wars with mods via private messages. In short, looking back through a person's post history usually does not tell the entire story.

Scroll back through the banned users forum if you want to see how many times the OP got in trouble. I recall seeing his name several times.

I'll just say he never made it into my ignore list.

Maybe you can do the honors, because it should be easier for you. A ceremonial kind of thing, for closure. You know, it's not that bad we'll miss you, that sort of thing.

Don't knock it - the kids are all over that stuff these days. You got a mid-century modern that your parents or grandparents lived in and never changed a thing in 50-60 years...GOLD MINE!

I'm sure that the longer this thread goes, the happier he is, as is usual with banned pot-stirrers.

You can bet he's read every word several x a day and loves it.

Best thing would be is if this thread died and disappeared.

The fact that nobody has is telling in itself.

As I remember, the OP could be pretty abrasive and probably didn't make many friends here. Also figure that it usually takes some rudeness or otherwise improper posts to draw a 30 day suspension.

IME - when folks have multiple or serious issues with moderators, above and beyond the occasional reminder, there's usually a reason, and it's usually NOT the moderators.
