This hurts

My twin sister, Kathy (I am Ken), had a stroke the night of 12/31-1/1, and passed the 2nd. I had just returned to Delaware the 28th, from Illinois, after spending Christmas week with my siblings and families.

I am still kind of in shock and heading back to Illinois in the morning. I am thankful I saw her during the holiday, she visited me for a week this past summer, and we spent our 70th birthday together in September of ‘22.

So very sorry. I lost my last of two sisters year before last - one biological and one adopted but neither a twin. Just brutal

All the best to you and yours

Loss is one of the things we have to suffer in life. My brother came to spend a week with me some years back, he borrowed my bike to go buy something at the store, and never came back. He was run over by a speeding vehicle driven by an unlicensed and uninsured driver. The only thing recognizable on his remains was a tattoo he had on his arm.

I'm so sorry for your loss. I also have a twin sister. Oddly my mother gave birth to 3 Sets of twins way before fertlity drugs.
The loss of brothers and sisters is so very hard. You mourn the passing of a loved one and reckon with your own longevity. I hope you find the strength to get through this, maybe give some thanks that her passing was quick although still a great loss.
All the best.Get a ride in if you can find the time, good for inflection.

If you're anything like me, you'll never get over it. My baby sister Patricia fell asleep at the wheel more than 25 years ago. She was a great touring buddy and your story made me think about her, which is a good thing.

Kathy will stay alive in your memories I bet. Next best thing to having her here. Cheers.

Patricia somewhere in Mississippi on Hwy 51.

My condolences too. It's an issue all of us with sibs share or will share at various levels of circumstance.

On my rides I think about things I've read here on BF. I'm sure others here too will be thinking about you as we pondering life during our rides today or in the near future.

Cannot imagine, but my sincere condolences. I have twin grandchildren and I have always been drawn to how close they are with each other.
