Not a hoax, I switched to Eggbeaters for the extra float I need for my 'bent. The shoes are the older Wellgo ones that Performance sold, the gold and blue ones. Somewhere in a storage box in the garage is another pair that I never even wore, same size.

I must have tried the wrong "Free thing",,,, I have trusting what my pals say and went with Shimano, I wanted speedplay but $$$$ them Eggbeaters look good, and I had a chance to buy a set for $40, I got feet like Ronald McDonald, and I am just not the same as yall.

I got the right shoe clipping real good, the left required a minor modification but seems good now.
I rode over that real bumpy section I complain about and my feet stayed on real good,
They do what I got them to do, I had one time I almost stopped without un-clipping, close, still got the pedals. I find after riding a bit it is actually easier for me to clip in than just find a comfy spot on my platforms.
I think I will put the clipless on my other road thing too, but I kinda want some of those sandals.

It's a pity this thread died nearly two months ago. I will resurrect it with my own indecision.

CB Candy SLs or Shimano A520s for my road bike? Can't decide... so I got both. So instead of riding, I'll be spending time changing the cleats and pedals back and forth endlessly trying to decide which to learn on. Waiting for the the Shimano MT40s to get here. Then the madness can commence.

No wait. I have a better idea! I'll put a Candy SL on one side and an A520 on the other side. Oh.. but which side? Rats... thought I had the solution there for a minute.
