The deal of a century fell in our lap this week. We weren't going to do it till spring but what can you do when something like this happens.

Here it is

2006 Co-Motion custom built Roadster ridden less than 100 miles in a year, Wound up carbon fiber fork, Avid rear disc brake, Thudbuster stoker post, Rolf Vigor tandem wheelset, custom fade paint job. We already have 197 miles on it this week and we love it. Anybody interested in a nice used inexpensive tandem?

Not unless it has a thudbuster on it!!!

Don't know the price you paid but that must be the steal of the Decade- if not longer. The spec on it for a Tandem Seems right- But I could get worried about the rear wheel- Does look a bit light weight(And as I am far enough away not to get thumped) For all that weight it will have to take.

Sorry about that but the rear wheel does go through it with the potholes and Torque from 2 sets of legs. But then I am used to having the wheels go through a lot of punishment on our offroad beastie.

Would wish you luck on the rides- But getting that bike- I think you have had plenty of luck already.

That one piece of equipment is worth its weight in gold.

Good thing you're across the pond, mate, or I'd have to thump you myself.

ITA. We both feel real lucky to have found this (as well as willing to extend our finances) and are going to ride the h*ll out of it.

Nice bike, nice paint job. There are a lot of low mileage tandems if you look hard and are patient.

My Co-Motion doesn't need a Thudbuster, I got the Cappuccino model with softride beam for the stoker. While the beam is not ideal for an inexperienced rider at a high cadence, our tandem rides are leisurely and low cadence.

That's a beautiful bike. And you are one very fit-looking pair of riders. I've never considered tandem riding, but now that I've seen a few around, and the photo here, it sure does look like a lot of fun.
