One revolution at a time.....
So the downside to working scads (sp?) of overtime is that there is no time
for bikes and exercise, especially when the schedule takes you back and forth
from days to nights...12 hr shifts, sometimes three times during the same week.
There is no upside, unless you're my wife or kids.
After a total of 12 miles ridden in July and none so far in August, I finally got on my
Schwinn Airdyne last night and did 5+miles in 20 minutes at about 55 RPM. Not
much, but it's a restart. Hoping to make this a daily routine, again, building up to
one hour workouts or more. I'll get the bikes back out in September after we've dropped
our daughters off at their college dorms. Still dreaming of building up the stamina to take
a shot at a century before year-end. Gotta have a dream, right?

Give a shout if you're ever looking for a ride partner for your training rides. I live near the Memorial Art Gallery and am happy to ride darned near anywhere.
A friend (who lives in Spencerport and works for the Hilton schools) and I like to do metrics on days off from school. Lemme know if you'd like to join us on Columbus Day or Veterans Day.

Come over to the dark side. Commute by bicycle. Problem solved. Lots of people in the commuting forum to help you. Some of the commuters there live far north of you and commute year round.

It's a 10 mile round trip commute which I intend to start in September
when I return from a two week Vacation/transport service for the twins.
May or may not install the winter rims and studded tires for the snow
season...wait & see.
I was way too worn out from way too many hours to ride much during
the summer. Plus there were other issues which I had posted in an earlier thread.
