My neweat is a 2000 Tahoe and oldest is a 1992 Pontiac Sunbird. The Tahoe has 94k miles and the Pontiac has 36k origional miles. If I had been cycling longer maybe the bike would have more miles than the Pontiac. But I am not thinking about replacing the Pontiac unless I can get a EV for running around town. Can't sell the Tahoe till I get too old to travel.

Since I "had to" (and I do mean "had to") buy a large tow vehicle this summer for a family member*, I refuse to answer this question due to acute embarrassment. Let's just say that, even when gas was approaching $5/gallon, some idiots were still out there doing idiotic things to hasten the planet to an even-earlier grave.

I got 13 years out of an '86 Dodge. Drove it off the showroom floor in January '86, and sent it to the crusher in April '99. Been car-free ever since!

Newest is 92 Subaru wagon with 54K miles
Other is 87 Benz, diesel wagon. with 140K (last Benz diesel had 300K with still no major repairs.)

Wife's a Toyota Camry, like your Avalon, is a super-nice car, and was first new car she had since we married.
Mine a GMC Sierra Crew 1500, was assigned to my employer, but that relationship expired in September. It is also my bike hauler for trips and bike rescues around town.
Now my newest bike is a 2007 specialized Crossroads Sport and oldest a 1973 Schwinn Cool Lemon Super Sport with others only slightly newer.
Wife loves her Camry and has indicated she plans to keep a long long long time.
PS: filled my truck up Saturday, was planning to only put $35 of fuel into the tank, at 20 gallons it was full and was less than $34, never in its history has this rig been filled for less. Its lifetime fuel average is 18.5 miles per gal.

Why does Toyota, Honda spend so much of their money on fuel efficiency and research, and the big three are just trying to cut cost and quality, without improving the product.

About a year and a half ago we bought a new Honda Element. We picked it because it's short enough to fit in our garage and it will still carry our tandem on the inside.
My wife drives a '97 Saturn SL1 with 140,000 miles. If the Saturn will carry her to work and back for 5 more years until her planned retirement we may have bought our last car.

I have a 2007 Ford Escape, which I bought last summer to replace my '01 Chevy Tahoe, which I still haven't sold, which maybe is okay because I drove it here to Wyoming to settle some family estate business and haul stuff back to Washington, including a safe, which is going to be empty for a while because I bought that 2007 Ford Escape last summer.
Gas was $4.20 in the summer and I just filled the Tahoe for the trip back for $1.74.9 per gallon. Makes the trip more affordable but the Tahoe's still a gas hog (and still for sale!).

newest car is a 2008 toyota Prius.............haven't had car payments for years before this and other than the payments I love the Prius. Of course gas prices have dropped steadily since I purchased the vehicle, but what is new.

Our newest car is 2-1/2 years old, a 2006 Honda Accord EX V-6 w/ a 6-speed manual transmission. You read that right, we bought a stick-shift Honda Accord. It can get 33 mph on the open highway and almost 27 in heavy stop-and-go traffic. I plan to keep it for a long time.
