Sproing !!!!

Spring has sprung on the North Coast.

Ain't it grand?

It was supposed to rain all day today with some thunderstorms mixed in. The weather people were all wet so I was able to get in 35 miles without getting wet. It was in the low 50's with lovely sunshine all day long.

The only downside was that this is Spring Recess for our local schools and the kids are all over the streets. One guy of about 13 years old pulled right in front of me on his "Toy store Mt. Bike". I think I had both wheels locked up and my sneakers was-a-draggin' but I managed to stop with my front 20" wheel about two inches from his crank. I gave him a stern warning about looking where he was going and left it at that. No sense ruining his day any more than it was at that point...even his buddies were chastizing his poor judgement.

Otherwise it was a great ride.

as you can see from the pictures.

Nice pix, Cranky! And congrats on being able to show pix with no white mess all over the ground!

I suppose this means there's hope for us if Spring has sprung up there. Our temperatures are moderating, flowers are blooming, but it seems like we always have a bunch of wind an/or rain on days when I can ride. Bummer.

Great pictures, Cranky!

The flowers are in bloom around here but today was filled with crappy weather. As the weatherman said tonight - "We crammed three season of weather into one day". We've had rain, winds, hail and sunshine.

Mostly sunny and low 80s for the next 7 days here in middle Georgia. The pollen has been giving me less trouble lately, so I'm hoping to make up for a lot of lost riding days in the coming week. Only six weeks left to prepare for BRAG and I'm not nearly as far along as I had hoped to be by this time. But I'll be ready. I always am.

Last couple of weeks have seen the temps up in the 50's and great cycling weather with clear skies- a bit of rain falling at night and winds not too strong-

The daffs are just about finished in the South of the UK but plenty of otherstuff growing- including the **** Seed just coming into Flower. Acres and acres of the stuff and if you want pollen hayfever- this is the plant to give it to you.

First organised ride of the year on Sunday and I may extend the 40 miles to get a decent ride- that is if the Rain that is forecast does not come. Still- The last 4 years and I have done this ride in the Goretex- so why change what is now becoming a regular habit.

One of the things I miss living in Central FL is the spring flowers. Thanks for the photos.

Beware the pod people. They appear normal enough, but they ride recumbents and suck out your brains.

Nice pictures. I can't see some of the flowers. Can you move your easy chair back out of the way?
