I left the house at 9:00 am and was able to get 22. 2 miles. The weather was pleasant with the temp at 62F degrees and very foggy when I left the house. It cleared up within an hour.

I got out and rode this morning by 9:00 am. I did almost the same route as yesterday and got 21.9 miles today, the temp was cool at 61 f degrees.

Another ride mostly on bike paths for about 75 minutes. Really icy today. I was a bit surprised because I didn't think it had been warm enough for anything to melt. I could feel my back wheel slipping as I rode up this ramp to a pedestrian overpass and had to focus on pedaling smoothly.

Edit: The track on the far left is not mine. Someone was riding down on a fat e-bike with feet down. He was just reaching the bottom as I started up in the opposite direction.

Bikes: Hi-Ten bike boomers, a Trek Domane and some projects

I took a short spin to the duck pond today. It was my first since an even shorter spin a couple of days after getting out of the hospital. I think I could have rode a little more, but I didn't want to push it. I figure I will wait until I see the cardiologist in February and if he puts a Holter monitor on me, I will give him something to look at.

That aqua-cycle looks like a lot of fun!

I got out by 9:00 am this morning for a ride, came home by 11:00 am and then left again for a ride to the senior center and run an errand. My total of miles today was 24.5.

r.e. bold -- FUN yes but the 1.51 miles had me working harder than 50 miles here in SW FL.

First trail ride of 2026 for me. Arastradero for only 8 miles, 1100ft in just over 1 hour. I was surprised I could see SF and Oakland from here, not even the highest point in the park. just a clear day.

Upper Bowl is typically dry, but the week of rain created this.

30km today, first ride of the year. I spent much of last month visiting family in America, and the last week was spent in Okinawa enjoying the warm weather and beautiful beaches. Now everyone is home, back to work and school, and I can work cycling into my schedule. I'm pretty well recovered from my big crash in September, and hope that I have a good year on the bike.

2cam16 you should try it again, it is very nice now compared to the dusty summer. Going early or late is less crowded, of course, I am on the late side. It is only a 12 min drive for me(non-rush hour). I know rush hour traffic sucks these days!

I was out for 5 hours today. Here are some pics.

Riding on a beach was a lot of fun. Below freezing temps are keeping the beach sand hard and firm. Easy to ride on without the tires sinking in.

Canal with a lift bridge. Huge big ships pass through here.

Some of the bike paths along the route.

I left the house after 9 am this morning as I wasn't sure I was going to ride. But my husband helped with that decision by deciding to wash the floor. So I left the house and went out for a bike ride. I got 18 miles in this morning.

Nice and clear today, low 60°s. So happy that the wet roads are dry.
4th ride this week. 1 MUP, and 1 trail ride on MTB, and 2 eBike rides on the road. Today was San Gregorio to the coast and back...

Beautiful, sunny, spring-like weather today (44°F with almost no wind) so I got out for a 71 minute spin. Streets were almost completely clear of ice and snowpack but I decided to ride mostly bike paths. They were pretty good but there were a few icy sections in areas that don't get much sun. The studded tires worked great, although I thought I was gonna go down once.

Boat ramp on the Mississippi River

I got a 20.9 mile ride in this morning. The temp was 60 f degrees when I left the house which is cold by Florida standards but by NH standards in my mind it is downright pleasant.

The day turned out to be zero degrees, I got a chance to put my Rapha insulated cycling hat to the test. It was worth the money.

Not a bad distance for my second ride of the year, and the second ride since November. My legs feel a little like spaghetti, but I'll try to get in another ride tomorrow.

I am working on getting out earlier in the am. In that vein I was out this morning by 8:45 and got a 20.4 mile bike ride in. The temp was a little chilly this morning somewhere in the mid 50's with blue skies. I didn't get home until 11:15 which didn't leave me enough time to take a shower get cleaned up, have lunch, and head out on my bike again for a yoga class. That was due to a break which included a phone call with my daughter.

I left the house at 8:15 am this morning, it was overcast and looked like it may rain. Which it did about 6 miles out, so I went looking for a place to stay dry. I looked at my phone for the weather forecast and rain was predicted in another hour. So I headed back to the house, and only got 14.5 miles ride today. Also, on the ride home the wind was gusting up to 30 mph from the NNE and luckily I only had about 2.5 miles on that stretch of the bike path.

My 3rd ride of 2026, not counting the hour I spent yesterday on my rollers. My saddle soreness is fading away, my hands, shoulders, and neck are adjusting. I'm a little faster, and felt some improvement in my speed over my previous 2 rides. I've had some issues with Strava recording my heart rate, I think I have that squared away now. No time to ride on the weekend, but I should be able to get in 3 or so rides during next week.

My big crash in September seems to have had an unexpected benefit. Since that time, I no longer suffer from any symptoms of tachycardia. Recently, when I had been off the bike for any length of time, I would start suffering from an elevated heartbeat. It would sometimes rise up to more than 130 bpm when just sitting at the table. The symptoms are now gone. This may not be related to my crash, but then again it may. Anyway, I'm back on the bike, and feeling better for it

I left for a ride today at 11:40am, it was very late, but I was waiting for the temperature to get above 50 f degrees. Also the wind was a lot lower today than yesterday so that was nice. I rode for 22. 4 miles .

Point Reyes for the first time with my friend who lives further up north. I also saw the elk of Pt Reyes for the first time. 16 miles and 3,095 ft elevation gain. Fun decent on on the gravel bike!
