Perfect weather and a very solid 34 mile ride. A slight tailwing help to promote some faster riding during the last 10 miles.

34.5 miles tonight. It was beautiful out tonight. Started out a little hot (90+ degrees) but cooled down as the night wore on. And the big thing was the humidity was low. Well, low for Tampa. Was a great ride tonight.

24 easy miles to check knee. I did something to the knee Sunday and it was hurting so no ride Monday. It felt okay at work today so I gave it a go.

I'm riding on Cycle Oregon this week, 7 days of fantastic riding in beautiful Western Oregon. Yesterday we rode 90 miles from the Willamette Valley, over the Coast Mountains to the Oregon Coast. Today it was 75 miles south along the coast from Reedsport, OR to Bandon by the Sea. There are 2200 riders, so a fine moving party fully supported.

30 mile club ride with 8 others on a new route I mapped today. Good mix of hills and fast sections. Bounced between hammering with the front group and pulling up the stragglers.

21 miles on a club ride just before dark. Crisp fall weather. THe fast group was spirited without trying to crush souls.
This is my 3rd day back after 8 days off the bike owing to travel (and a lot of eating, drinking, and sitting on my rear). My 1st day back (Monday) felt AWFUL - like I had lost the whole season's training in the blink of an eye. Second day felt OK for the first half of the (40 mile) ride, but I had no stamina and my legs had no power towards the end. 40 miles was easy in August! Today felt close to normal. It's amazing to me how much I seem to lose when I'm off the bike, but also that much of it seems to come back. It can't be physiological, I don't think.

Tues - after work, my friend Michele & I managed to get 17 miles in before it got too dark. We did a route that allowed us to ride the last few miles on the local rail trail, so even though it was getting pretty dim, we didn't have to worry about cars.
Wed - 30 mile round trip commute. It was my last Wed commute.
I get out at 6 and it was a dash to get home before nightfall.

Took yesterday off from our vacation riding, but still ended up doing 4 miles around the neighborhood doing some tweaks on the wife's bike after some changes we did to it yesterday. MUP ride this am, with some really nice 75º weather, for a 43.4 mile ride. The wife did 33 miles and I rode the last 5 miles back to the parking lot with her at a nice slow pace. Good time to get some spinning practice in.

NO, it's been heavy rain since yesterday afternoon and fog and drizzle all morning, the fog is just starting to lift, now it's winds and cold temps. The bikes are staying, DRY in the bedroom!

yup... I was going to do fifteen miles (training for Saturday) and ended up riding over twenty. Spooked a Mule Deer on the way back , I think it was a young buck still in velvet, and saw a very nice sunrise. I'm glad I went. It was a bit cool when I started, but I warmed up as I went along and had an enjoyable ride.

14.1 mile recovery ride with the wife and daughter. Nice and cool at the start and stayed in the low 80's for the length of the ride. Tomorrow will be another high mileage ride, if all goes well.

A 21 mile ride in the city today. At the 18 mile mark I sprinted up a shallow rise, thinking a Minivan was crowding me on a narrow two way street. By the time I crested the ridge, no-one was behind me. I might have had the lane to myself for a while.
It got the heart pounding.

38 miles. Started out cool - mid 40's - so I had several layers on which were quickly removed. Rattlesnake and lots of Prairie Rats. Helped a guy with a flat tire (he ran out of CO2) and had a nice chat with a Sheriff and another bicycler at the rest shelter.
Sunny and GREAT for riding.

Shorty ride, and ran into another Forum Member who lives the next county over. I did a short 12K, lots of extra stuff at work, left me too pooched so far this month, so I need some shorties, before getting back to the regular riding schedule..... Interesting fact, with one ride of 12K, I actually beat this month last year, as I was busy preparing to move....

I got in 32 after work and it was 65° when I left, very nice!
Getting cooler for sure. I almost got in a goal from 2 years ago too but fell short, a 19 mph avg for 30+ miles. I ended with 18.8. Oh well

14.3 miles yesterday on my wife's heavy hybrid. 20.1 miles today on my bike. nice weather. all good except for some nearby gun shots. somebody fired shots at a fire station and a few cars on / near my regular route. lots of police and a few helicopters. i talked to one of the police and he said shots have been fired the last couple days. i didn't hear anything but i am kind of hard of hearing anyway (plus probably not paying attention to that kind of noise.

Met BF member DEK down the street from my house and we went to my normal wilderness park MUP (Flatwoods) and did a very nicely paced 42 mile ride. Started off a very nice and cool morning but quickly got into the upper 80's and low 90's (according the my wife's bike computer). It was a very enjoyable ride, even if the Zyrtec I took earlier didn't kick in until the last leg of the ride. Plus the wife surpassed her longest ride record by 2 miles completing a 34 mile ride today.
