Overcast skies on a somewhat warm day with a 10% chance of rain. That was 10% until I got out to the MUP and then the other 90% joined in. Only got 14 miles in before the downpour that lasted about an hour or so. Maybe I'll have better luck tomorrow.

Easy 14 mile coffee run. Temps about 50 degC. Last ride for a few days as a storm is coming in Thursday pm. Fortunately, it looks at though the weather on Saturday will be ok for a mini-tandem rally that has been running out of Crank-2 in Pleasanton, CA. Nothing like drafting a young, strong, large tandem team

30 miles with 2100 ft of climbing for me today after a week lay-off; I'm feeling it now, but while taking in the views I felt invincible.

I'd say climate warming has definitely reached his area of California. 50C is warm where ever you are riding!

Had a very pleasant 18 mile ride last night. Mid-40s, light winds, very comfy in sweater & unlined windbreaker.

Easy 13 mies on the old Cannondale hybrid for a spin around town. Beautiful day but spent the morning doing chores around the house.

I got a late start this afternoon so I was able to get in 15 miles before it started to get dark. A great riding weekend ahead with a club ride on Saturday and another on Sunday.

23 miles in two rides today on my new bike, one very short ride and a longer one with a friend. Coming from a comfort bike, it's a very pleasant change and will get even better once my body (i.e., posterior) acclimates.

I'm making up for a month of no riding. I did two rides today for a total of 34 miles. Nice 68º temps this morning for a great 19 mile club ride and a fantastic 81º weather this afternoon for a 15 mile ride with the wife at the wilderness MUP.

I did my first winter mtb ride of the season. It wasn't very long because I am in bad shape (that's what happens when you let riding lapse) but I had fun. There is a learning curve that you have to go through the first time out in the snow & ice. The studded tires help, but they do not work miracles!

I was going to claim first tracks, but a rabbit beat me to it.

It was supposed to get into the high 50s today, but it topped out at 45 and it just felt colder. I did get my ride in.

26 miles on the single. Finished amidst a few rain drops. My wife came home about noon and we went for a 14 mile ride on the tandem; finished that ride in very light rain. 40 total miles on now rainy day - not bad.

Not only rode but took my maiden ride on a bike I just finished building, a Kestrel Talon SL. Coming off a department store Schwinn, I couldn't believe the difference. Had to get used to the drop bars and had to cut down the seatpost a little more but after that it got quite comfy. Toyed with the different positions on the bars and all the Campy Record gear worked quite well. Couldn't believe how easy it was getting up to speed I've never experienced. It's a whole new world.

We've had some Winter this week, but it got up to 40F when I got out for a whopping 8 mile ride this afternoon. Because our homeowners association can't afford to plow our streets for mere ice and icy slush, Had to stick the bike into the van and drive out of the neighborhood to get started.

Well crap. I just walked outside and the temp is 10 degrees warmer. Stupid weathermen. Anyway, my ride was 14 miles. Strada says I'm KOM on one segment (I'm the only one who's riden it, but I cut a full minute off my previous best) and 3rd on another (out of three).

After taking the wife shopping I still had time to get in 16 miles before the playoffs started. Go Giants.
