Well, there was one advantage of missing the ride yesterday- fresh legs today. The weather wasn't quite as nice - in the 50s, but there was a 20 mile club ride and additional 10 getting to and from the ride terminus. I felt great and did more than my typical share of pulling. Ride started at 4:45 to get finished before sunset, but I had another reason why leaving work early made sense, so all was good.
Rain tomorrow and maybe the next day. GRRRRRR. |
8 miles on trainer, due to torrential rain .
|
I did 30 km this morning and was OK till about 10km from home when it started to rain. First ride in the rain this year. Need to get a waterproof jacket if I'm going to ride this winter.....

28.4 miles today on a beautiful Fall day in Maine. Passing the beach saw approximately 25 surfers riding the waves. Had a nice tail wind coming home.
|
Gosh it was windy when I rode home from work today. (20 miles total)
|
Rode for only 50 minutes, just started a painting project,eh well actualy I'm doing all the projects I've been putting off to go ride all spring and summer.pay back is a *****.

Due to work, weather and vacation I have been off the bike for 10 days, but I put in 24 miles this afternoon. I could feel the lack of activity in my legs and the pace was off. Still it was not a bad ride. A big headwind slog on the trip out but 12 miles of tailwind on the return trip. Wheeeeeeeee! :D
|
27 miles, just kick'in around here and there, did a few small hills just for the fun of it, saw some deer eating the last few non-changed leaves on the MUP! :)
|
I'm still off the bike while my Reynolds 753 frame is getting repainted after some minor repairs. It is spring here and while it's a bit windy the weather is perfect for riding. Really frustrating ... sigh.
|
A lovely yet ridiculously easy ride today. I'm not training for an event, so why ride like it? This was just what I needed.
|
Time to get dressed to ride again today. Life is good in Sunny Florida

Hit Napean Hwy this morning between two bunches. Within a few kms the two had
become one with me on the back, and we reached Frankston and I realised I had riden more than I had planned. I was able to catch the front group before the rear group caught up. 47.323Km@29.1kph. 46.1kph on Dandy Rd, and 49.9kph in sprint home. |
44 miles this early am.

Not very far no more than 9 miles to Wythenshawe Park up the road from me. My partner has serious arthritis so he cant cycle and caught the bus and as finances are tight today I cycled to save the fare. He is interested in trees and wanted to catch some autumn colours. On the way back I thought maybe I could race his bus back, nearly did it only beat me by 4 mins at the most, I beat him back tour meeting point anyway:thumb: http://bikeforums.net/attachment.php...hmentid=279441 http://bikeforums.net/attachment.php...hmentid=279443 |
11 miles after work. Up the dreaded hill that used to kick my bhutt. Get's easier every time. Rain and "cold" weather headed this way after weeks of 90+ here in Northern California foothills.
|
Just time for a short 12 miler today. Wanted to stretch the legs.

104 miles on some great NC roads. Beautiful day.

Solo 100K with the most (and toughest) climbing I've done. The weather was beautiful with views of the cloud-covered valley below.

Killer 18-20 Mph Headwinds. |
Today was Day 1 of the Hilly Hundred in Southern Indiana: Rode 57 miles with an old (like me) friend and approx 5,000 other cyclists. 5200 feet of climbing today. Overcast and temp stayed around 50F. A little bit of drizzle and mist making the roads damp at times. Some fun!
