Did a ride on a new organized century out of Luray VA (Page County Grown.) Very nice route, not a lot of people, but everyone was friendly and the organization was pretty good for a first event.
Only pain was the rain. 109 miles, at least 105 of it in the steady, soaking rain.

NealH and I got out for a summer like ride around the Ring of Fire, a local loop. It's a hard ride with steep grades and I had to take it slow at times given my current fitness level. Beautiful ride though, through changing fall colors. It's hard to imagine that a local Cat1 did this loop in 2 hours ride time. My all time best is 2:40, not today though. It was a great ride.

What a day. Crossed 60 for first time, then 62 and ended at 70! Rode beyond my age (68), and also been on rode bike just two years and had TKR in right knee in 2005. Oh ya, lost 45 pounds riding for past five years.

Nice 52 mile ride. Added some miles to a 36 mile climbing out and back. Took it easy on the climb and felt great at the finish.

26 miles to see my Mom, then to meet my wife at OSU Football Stadium. She volunteered with the Juvenile Diabetes Walk. Then off to Bob Evans for food.

68 miles on a very nice Florida day. Temps never got higher than the mid 80's. Can't beat that with a stick.

70.1 miles, home to Pepperell and back. My chain broke just past mile 30. The PowerLink came apart and I couldn't find both pieces. It happened to be not far from the house of a local vintage bike enthusiast! That both vintage bikes and vintage biker. He lent me a chain tool and we spent half an hour talking bikes new and old.

Nice ride through the New Hampshire country side.

Got a late start after going for a walk with the wife and dog. Come home, get food and drinks ready, get dressed, and grab the bike. WTF, rear flat tire
break it down, check the tube, find pin hole but no matching offence in the tire
Put it all back together and the rough start melts into Autumn scenery, and crisp air. The trees are close to peak color, traffic is very light, and life is good. No matter what happens a bike ride like this can make it all better.

56 miles on the trails. Wanted to do a metric century but started too late and ran out of daylight. Was a chilly day here. Had to have a long sleeve winter under armour and a windbreaker. I miss summer already.

Could not do more than 25 miles yesterday, I kinda knew problem was with not enough air in both tires, today I pumped both tires just a bit over the recommended max and rode 47 miles, from my house in w knoxville to Oak Ridge and back, just felt great

NealH and I rode from town this morning up to Waterrock Knob about 18.5 miles up with 3750ft of climbing. The road to the parking lot at the top was closed due to the gov't shutdown so we turned around about 0.25 miles and 100' of the summit. It was foggy up there anyway. Great ride, 37 miles and over 3900ft of climbing in 3 hours ride time.

Thanks. We have a some good climbs here. The approach from the other side starts with a 3240ft climb in 10 miles then a 3 mile descent followed by 1480ft in 4.5 miles. So that's 4720ft in 14.5 miles/17.5 total. Pretty steady grades at a constant 7%. Over the past two days we climbed about 8500ft in 75 miles. Pretty nice!

35 miles this morning after taking the day off yesterday. Nice start with temps in the low 70's, foggy and very little wind. Ended up with temps in the low 80's, overcast skies and not much more wind than when I started the ride. Hoping tomorrow's weather will be a repeat of this morning.

36 miles... what beautiful day.
Afternoon ride, temps in the low 60s, slight breeze. Warm in the sun, cool in the shade, crystal clear skys.
Couldn't be nicer.
