Rode around town for a couple of hours, doing errands and trying not to get hit.

20 mile ride to and from work today.
|
Nice 18 mile loop around Westerville.
|
18.6 miles for today's ride. Didn't start my ride until noon, so I decided to do a much slower paced (14-15 mph) 35 mile ride today. Got into the first lap and the winds started to pick up and the further I rode, the stronger they seemed to get. I decided I didn't really feel like fighting headwinds today so I ended the ride after the first lap.

45 miles this afternoon.

Rode around town about 3 hrs in between other things.

10 miles outdoors in fog, before the storms came.

Last two rides before crappy weather and the time change curtail my outdoor riding. Tuesday, 18 miles and Wednesday 26.

A short 15 minute or so ride in the cold rain on my winter rat mountain bike this morning before breakfast or a shower. This idea of riding everyday... despite the weather is new for me... but I think I like it.
Monday when the weather was semi-decent... I went for a much longer, faster ride on my road bike. But I'd rather get out and get a little chilled on a short ride.... than wait for decent weather and not bicycle at all. |
2 jaunts with the Dog. Dog was spastic for first mile or so, but the sprint helped curb the urge to stop-n-sniff. And in between rain drops and Errands, we did a short leash slow ride to get her used to side by side stuff.... Hoping to do some more riding with leash tomorrow, getting good with that really expands choices for places to ride.

Are you kidding!!! Ride today? Rain & 50 MPH wind gusts.

Got a very early start on a great 42 mile ride with my buddy, Frank. No humidity and temps in 70's for the entire ride.
|
Did loops around the area for 42 mi. Day turned out real nice- 70F, sunny after a morning squall.
Yesterday, my long ride plans were wiped out by rain. Got in my exercise by going to the gym in the evening and spinning for 1 1/2 hrs (45 min class, 45 min on my own). Being Halloween, I guess, the gym hired a DJ which made working out more fun. |
The usual 20 mile loop around Gainesville. On Wednesday I did it in 50 minutes. Today was more of a recovery ride, so more like an hour. With the end of daylight savings time, this will conclude my after-work jaunts on a bike. I will probably get out Sunday for a good 50 miler.....

Did the Bike Commuter thing yesterday for 20 miles. This was the day after the storm of the season, which had all blown to the east by morning. The roads were still wet in spots and I regretted not having put on the front fender. (The rear is semi-permanent) Bike cleanup today.
Quite a few trees down in my part of Indy - still some folks without power this morning. |
It was cold, windy, and gloomy. But I had 3 letters that needed mailed. So the ten + mile to the post office was todays ride. I enjoyed it!

46.6 mi +3,800 ft 02:55:00 Avg Watts 195 Calories 2045 A great crisp New Hampshire fall ride with 2 friends from the bike shop Lots of climbing, and of course, descending, kind of a funny loopy route, but we had a great time Pirk |
No ride today. Not much time between the rain showers to get any mileage in.
|
Whilst riding in the Park my next door neighbor, a non rider, came across me. We chatted a bit. One half mile later I blew a tire.
Coincidence? I think not. 200 miles in about two hours, Strava be damned. |
24 miles. Beautiful day.
